Palestra - "Translation and interpreting in Africa: An Overview."
I am a Kenyan language professional and Spanish Customer Service Representative at Cigna Healthcare Insurance, also working as a translator. I hold a Master’s in Translation for International Communication from the University of Vigo, Spain, and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from United States International University–Africa. Having lived in Spain for over four years, I understand how language access and culturally sensitive communication foster cross-cultural understanding. Passionate about using translation as a tool for inclusion and empowerment, I currently serve as Spanish Translator Officer at MYCP, where I help break language barriers and promote youth participation in global migration policy initiatives.
